Color Throwdown #379

Hello, everyone! It's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge! Lynn here with your colors for this week. With Valentine's Day this Sunday, I thought we could use a romantic color palette for this week's challenge.  And what's more romantic than roses and watercolored heart shaped sugar cookies with flecks of edible gold, right?   With watercoloring so on trend right now I thought these colors and inspiration photo would be fun, I hope you like them too.

Remember, we're using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown: Pink, purple/mulberry, metallic gold, and hot pink, you'll be good...the color police won't come after you--this is all about having fun! And, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design, as well. If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD379, and please use #ctd379 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog--all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check 'em out to be sure.

For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

Color Throwdown #378

Hi, everyone!  It’s Lori and it’s my turn as hostess for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  I found this fun happy mail photo as inspiration for our colors this week.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are red, pink, dark gray, and light blue.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD378 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd378 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.

Before you head off to create, here’s some inspiration from our talented team to get you started.  You'll notice we have a new addition to our team.  We enjoyed having Amy Rysavy as our January guest so much that we asked her to stay on as a full time team member--and she agreed!  We're also welcoming a new guest designer for February, the amazing Kay Miller, plus our talented guest star stamper, Samantha Johnson.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with these fun colors!

Featured Stamper #377

Hello CTD fans! I was just WOW'd by all the gorgeous cards linked up to this past week's color challenge CTD377! The gallery was just lovely.

The randomly selected winner of CTD376 is Bonnie Sharp! Check out her beautiful creation.

I just loved the sweet little scene she created, all on a scalloped circle. Those sun rays just made make me smile! I also loved the subtle polka dots in the background.

Congratulations Bonnie!  You are now invited to join us as our Guest Star Stamper for the challenge on February 10, 2016.  Please send an email to colorthrowdown[at]gmail[dot]com by NOON Eastern Time on Friday, Friday, Feb.6 2016 to obtain your Featured Stamper blinkie and get details for the upcoming challenge!

Here are a few other cards I just loved.

Thank you all again for playing along!  Check back here tomorrow for a new Color Throwdown Challenge!
