A Badge, and Featured Stamper Announcement

The Color Throwdown girls are SO appreciative of everyone who's been participating in our challenges each week! We'd like to give you something to display on your blog to let everyone know that you're one of our followers! So here is the Color Throwdown #27 badge from yesterday. If you'd like to display it in your blog sidebar, simply right click on the image and then save it to your own computer. When you upload it to your blog sidebar, we'd appreciate it if you link it back here to the Throwdown blog! With the post each Wednesday, we'll post the new badge and you can feel free to change it up on your blog every week if you want!

Any questions, please just leave a comment here and one of us will get back to you!

We'd also like to remind everyone that one participant each week gets chosen as Featured Stamper and has their creation and a link to their blog or online gallery posted on Tuesday for everyone to see! But... did you know that we' re also going to chose one person from the Featured Stampers each month to be our Guest Designer for a challenge? For example, one of the Featured Stampers from the 4 challenges in January will be randomly chosen to be our Guest Designer on Wednesday, February 11th! One of the Featured Stampers for February will be chosen randomly to be our Guest on Wednesday, March 11th! And we'll repeat this every month! So keep those entries coming in! We love seeing your creations with the colors each week!

Color Throwdown #27

Wow! Can you believe we are all the way up to Challenge #27?! This week it was my turn to pick the colors so I thought I would throw in some different colors than what we normally work with but then again, colors that you just might have on hand as well.

We would love for you to play along with our challenges - there is no time limit - just have fun!!! Be sure to come back and post a direct link to your project so we can stop by and be inspired by you! If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD27. Featured Stamper #26

You guys! Choosing the Featured Stamper for Color Throwdown challenge #26 was one of the toughest decisions EVER!! I can't believe how wonderful every single card submission was! Some people were a little hesitant about the colors, but in the end you all truly ROCKED this challenge!

After flipping back and forth between all the cards for a very long time, I kept coming back to this beauty by Maria Gurnsey of Scraps by M:


I loved the black and white gingham paper with the pink passion polka dotted ribbon and all her piercing and stitching too! But it's that big, bold, beautiful pink bow that truly won my heart!

Well, I'm really excited to see what you do with the colors I've chosen! I thought these would work well if you're in the process of making your Valentine cards, but you certainly can use them for whatever you please!

Featured Stamper #25

Holy cow, you all have no idea what a hard time I had choosing a Featured Stamper for this week! I first narrowed it down to 10! (Yeah, not very narrow!) You all just rocked that color combo last week!

My choice for Featured Stamper this week is Carla (cmsuto) on SCS! And here's her card...

In the end, it was all those individually colored flowers that did it for me! I just LOVE how that looks! I have that stamp somewhere, and definitely have to give this a try!

We have a new badge for our Featured Stampers to display on their own blogs (if you have one!) that allows you to shout to the world that you were featured! So Carla, if you would contact me through my blog, I will email it to you!

Color Throwdown #25

Welcome to Week #25 of the Color Throwdown! We hope you all had fun with LeAnne's color combo from last week! We were so pleased to see so many links! We also hope you enjoyed seeing Libby's card featured today. It seems as though everyone got a kick out of her fun image. Play along with us this week, and next Tuesday it could be you in the spotlight!

I chose the color combination for today from some new We R Memory Keepers paper that I picked up after Christmas. I hope you'll have fun with these colors! As you can see, our team sure did!

You do not have to have a blog to play along! You can upload to any online galleries such as Papercraft Planet or Splitcoaststampers. Remember, with online galleries be sure to use CTD25 for the tag or keyword, so the cards for this challenge will all be grouped together. We even have an album for all the cards at Papercraft Planet! So just upload your creation somewhere, then be sure to come back here and let us know where to find it!

CTD#24 Featured Stamper!!

Well, as promised, Color Throwdown has chosen a Featured Stamper from last week's CTD#24 submissions. It was a difficult choice--I think the new year has rejuvenated everyone, because all the samples were wonderful! And early on, I thought I had my featured card picked out, but a late submission just had me rolling on the craft room carpet, so I had to choose "I've Got Your Back" from Libby's Little Addiction:
Libby's blog is one of the cutest around! I need to get over there and do HER challenges more often, and once you visit it, you'll know what I mean. I won't give it away----you need to check it out for yourself! You will be grinning!!! All the elements she included in this card just made it something extra-special and funny as well. I once worked at an auto dealership in a very old garage. My office door opened right on to the shop, right at a mechanic's bay. One day I opened the door and the mechanic was working on the car, leaning over the engine and ....yup, you guessed it! This is the view I had framed in my doorway. Ah, memories!

Color Throwdown #24

Welcome back, everyone! The Color Throwdown team is ready to start 2009 with some new challenges and new faces! As Tammy said, we had to say goodbye to Kim, but we have two new members on our team, Danielle and Barbara. We are all excited to play and can't wait to see what you come up with. And on Tuesday, we'll randomly choose one "contestant" as our Featured Stamper! Our colors for this week were inspired by my friend Beth! She mentioned she was making something with this color combo and I thought it was Challenge-worthy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Color Throwdown fans! Are you ready to begin some new challenges? The team is ready to go again this coming Wednesday, January 7th with a new Throwdown being hosted by LeAnne!

We've got some fun new things planned for the new year including a Featured Player each week, and possibly some Guest Designer spots!

The Color Throwdown team has gone through a few changes. Kimberly Crawford's stay with our team was brief as she found she had too many commitments to keep participating each week. We're sorry to see her go after such a short time! Similarly, Kisa Peters also has a full plate and can't commit to the weekly challenges. However she does such an awesome job with our banners and color swatches each week that we talked her in to sticking around as our Graphic Artist!

So please take notice of the two new smiling faces in the left-hand sidebar! We welcome Barbara Anders from Paper Pursuits, and Danielle Kennedy from Wild Dragonfly Designs to our team! We know you're going to love seeing the creations they have to offer!
