Color Throwdown #53

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Color Throwdown! This week the colors I have chosen are Bordering Blue, Rose Red, and Pirouette Pink. I was inspired by the fun party designer paper I used below from Imaginesce! This week brings us to the last challenge for July and the end of our first ever, Guest Designer, Juliana Swanson...*sniff* We have so enjoyed you joining us Juliana and seeing your gorgeous creations! You will always be the inaugural CTDGD! How cool is that?!

We love to see your awesome creations so please join us! The keyword this week is CTD53-make sure you use it when you upload to any public gallery so that we can see your art! Use Mr. Linky below to link us directly to your post-not just your blog...so that you can be in the running for next weeks Featured Stamper and ultimately our September Guest Designer! We look forward to having you join us (although choosing a winner is SO hard!). Happy creating!

Color Throwdown #52

Here we are at week 52 of the Throwdown challenge!! Wowzers!!! It's been a fun year, hasn't it?! This week we have another sponsor--Clear and Simple Stamps!

Here's a little bit about Clear and Simple Stamps:

Clear and Simple Stamps is a clear polymer stamp company based out of Maryland. We are a mother-daughter duo who hand illustrate each of our signature stamp sets and oversee the design process from beginning to end. Each owner is a fashion and graphic designer by trade, and both have an equal passion for the art of stamping. Our signature line is our Simple Darlings™ and Simple Gents™. We have a growing collection of fun stamps that we hope you will find unique and inspiring to work with. We design all of our stamps in-house, and cannot wait to see your fabulous creations – or what we like to call your “divalicious style” shine through when creating with Clear and Simple Stamps!

And here's the very generous prize they've donated to be won by some randomly chosen entry this week:

(If you or your company would like to sponsor us here at The Color Throwdown, contact Cathy at stamper_c at yahoo dot com.)

Please be sure to read below on how to be eligible to win this awesome prize. This will also be posted in our sidebar for quick and easy reference. Please keep in mind that all links that do not adhere to the requirements, will be deleted.

The Color Throwdown challenges are intended to be fun for everyone. We don't mind if you combine challenges, but entries must be a new creation, AND you must link back to The Color Throwdown site whether you are posting to your blog or another forum. A direct link to your card via Mr. Linky is required. [If you do not have a blog or access to an online gallery, please email us a photo of your card and we will post it here and add you to Mr. Linky.] In fairness to our generous sponsors and design team members, links that do not follow these rules will, unfortunately, be deleted and not eligible for the prize. Thank you for understanding.

Remember: One random, qualifying participant will be chosen for the blog candy prize AND another participant will be chosen as our Featured Stamper, who will then be in the running to be selected as a Guest Designer for a month!! Both will be announced next Tuesday, July 28, 2009.

Now on to the colors! This week I'm the hostess and I chose this color combination: Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, and Chocolate Chip.

Take a look at what the Design Team has for you using Clear and Simple Stamps and get inspired! Then go create and bring it back to show us your entry! Thanks for playing the Throwdown--we appreciate every one of you!

Color Throwdown #51

Welcome back to the 51st Color Throwdown challenge!!! Can you believe how time flies? We have something new in store for you at The Color Throwdown today...we are proud to say that we have started a sponsor program and our sponsor this week is....

Here is a little bit about DRS Designs...

DRS Designs is a small family owned company. We have been in the rubber stamp business since 1955 and have been thru many changes since that time. No change was more significant than the addition of art stamps in 1992. In the ensuing 16 years, we have grown our collection to more than 1000 original stamp designs with more being added each month. We offer online shopping from our website, a monthly club - Rubber Mania Monthly, as well as a retail store in Bethel, CT. If you are in the area, stop by our cozy Victorian shop and say hello!
We offer high quality, wood mounted rubber stamps as well as unmounted rubber depending on your preference. We have a 10 person design team and a blog that is updated daily by each member of the team. Every two weeks on a Monday, we host a blog challenge and invite you to join us! Our online site features a gallery for each designer as well as a customer gallery. We hope you will participate in our challenges and email us your cards so we can include them in our growing galleries.
We offer a wide assortment of images, sentiments (serious and humorous) as well as easy background images and technique stamps such as our stained glass and our plaid stamps.
You can find us online at DRS Designs and our blog which is updated daily.

Here is the generous prize that DRS has offered to one lucky/random winner...

Featured Stamper #50

You people are the most talented stampers/crafters ever! It was SO HARD to choose from all the beautiful submissions for Color Throwdown #50. I went through them over and over and decided that this entry just had to be the winner:

I just love everything about this beautiful layout! From the hand stitching to the buttons along the vine; from the beautifully cropped and tinted photos to the double layered butterflies with pearls. What's not to love??

Congratulations to Sankari Wegman of Sankari's Sunshine Corner!!

Sankari, please email me at the link on my blog (Splashes of Watercolor) and I'll get your Featured Stamper blog button to you!

Please join us again tomorrow for yet another great combo of colors when Cathy is our hostess. And we'll be changing things up a bit tomorrow, so be sure not to miss out on the fun!

Thanks so much to everyone who played along this week! You ladies are amazing!

Featured Stamper #49

It was another tough decision for Featured Stamper, as so many of you really wow'd us using these retired In Colors last week. In the end, I just kept going back to this super-cute Aloha card by Denise Marzec, and just fell in love with the crabs and cute blingy sand buckets, so Denise is our Featured Stamper this week with this card below, and is now in the running to be our Guest Designer for September! (Denise, please email me for a Featured Stamper blinkie for your blog!)

Many thanks to everyone for playing along, and stay tuned for tomorrow's Throwdown with Broni!

Color Throwdown #49

Welcome to Color Throwdown #49! This week it's my turn to host the challenge, and I hope you like what I've chosen. I was shopping with my daughter and our exchange student back in April and spotted a cute top with these colors, so I knew I'd need to use them in a Throwdown! Even though two out of these three colors are considered retired by Stampin' Up, just use whatever you have that is similar. Anything goes as long as you have fun!

Please help us welcome our Guest Designer for the month of July, Juliana Swanson! Juliana has played along with the Throwdown many times, was chosen as a Featured Stamper back in May and then was chosen to be our Guest Designer for the month of July! We're thrilled to have her joining us with her fabulous designs! Be sure to stop by her blog for lots of inspiration!

Remember, if you upload to an online gallery use CTD49 to tag your photo, and be sure to link your creation using Mr. Linky here on our blog. Remember to use a direct link! It makes it much easier for those who are commenting to find your creation. You could be chosen as next week's Featured Stamper, and then be in the running to be our Guest Designer for September!

As always, we greatly appreciate everyone who participates! Happy stamping!
